 Wednesday July 27, 2022

The last couple of days of July, and the weather is beautiful.  Had to cut the grass and whipper snip the yards, it always looks amazing once its done.  There was a beautiful breeze and it really only took just over an hour.  Jumped in the pool afterwards for a cool down and then thought about what's for dinner.  Yes lol even I have those what's for dinner nights.  I went to lunch with a friend and really didn't feel like having supper.  So I decided that popcorn might be an awesome idea.  I went live in my VIP group and measured popcorn kernels into the rectangular steamer, put the lid on and popped it into the microwave.  4 minutes, and we should have popcorn, nope ..  maybe it needs more time... nope .... maybe the kernels are stale???  Not 100% sure what the issue was as I have made popcorn in the microwave numerous times.

So my live was a bust.  It's ok...  It happens and not everything goes perfect all the time.  Flustered I said ok well I am going to have to figure out what I am doing wrong and we will do this again...

My business is so duplicatable, you don't have to go live every night.  When you have a side gig, your own business, you make it your own.  What works for me doesn't necessarily work for everyone and trust me I know this.  My passion is making dinner live and showing how our products fit into every day life.  I often hear people say wow you go live a lot.  Yes I do but it is something I enjoy and consistency is important to me.  However it doesn't mean that you have to do your business this way.  I love sharing with everyone I know, and meet, about how Epicure is a solution to everyday meal dilemmas.  How it is healthy and nutritious, time saving, and money saving.  I love solving customers meal dilemmas, it is my passion.

Are you interested in your own side gig?  Could you use some extra cash each month?  For education funds, travel funds, retirement funds???  Or just to make ends meet each and every month?  Do you love to talk to people??  Do you have to make dinner each night???  Why not get paid to make dinner?

Reach out today and lets have a chat, is this business a fit for you?  I don't know but we can figure it out together.  Have a great day and I will be live tonight.  Tonight we are making Pad Thai ...

Last night I cooked corn on the cob in the Multi Purpose Steamer, I was extremely surprised at how awesome it came out.  No mess, and no pot to wash up after the fact.  Cut the ends off of the corn so it fits in the steamer, I had three large cobs, don't remove the husks, place the corn in the steamer, lid on and into the microwave for 5min.  (cooking times vary by microwave and by the size of the corn on the cob)

When its done carefully take out the steamer and remove the lid, remember to always lift away from yourself to the let the steam escape.  Carefully squeeze the top end of the corn on the cob and the cob will slide out, clean from any silk or husk.  Discard husk and silk and enjoy.  Wow it was so easy, no muss no fuss easy peasy.

So many incredible uses for the Multi Purpose steamer.  If you had adult children heading off to College or University, away from home, this is a must have for their dorm rooms.  Most have access to a microwave and this can save on costly food plans and late night snacks while studying.  They can make 5 minute brownies (gluten free and even fat free) mac and cheese, cook chicken breasts, bacon, pasta, rice, popcorn and even corn on the cob.  Add one of these to their back to school list and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

 Good Morning,

I haven't posted in a bit and all of a sudden July is almost over.  A friend was over for dinner last night, we barbequed steak, Oh Canada seasoned potatoes, fresh yellow beans and Extra Ordinary Cheese dip YUM.  For dessert we had Luscious lemon curd with fresh strawberries and light whip cream.  YUM

Anyways back to my original thought, sitting on the deck enjoying the warm evening air and she said, wow summer is 1/2 over.  I almost cried.  We look forward to the warm summer weather for so long during the year, the pool parties, BBQ's and evenings on the patio socializing.  I suddenly realized that I haven't been enjoying the summer like I planned to do, so a to do list.

To Do List

spend more time in the pool

spend more time on the deck socializing

So one week left in July, what is new, well after a discussion with my boss and realizing his plan to retire in 5 years sent me into a tizzy (is that a word????)  I suddenly saw myself behind the counter at the local Tim's asking would you like a donut with that?  Don't get me wrong, I am not putting people down who are working at Tim's, I totally respect them and love my coffee.  I had a good long talk with myself and decided that I had an opportunity present itself that if I worked at it I could grow a business that would replace that Corporate paycheck and allow me to work the hours I want.  WOW... So I started sharing the business opportunity and have already sponsored two new consultants.

This business may not be for everyone, but there are people out there just like me, looking for some additional monthly income to make ends meet each month, to fund travel or retirement funds, or even to fund education funds for their kids.  Heck some may even be looking to fund their fancy shoe fetish funds.  Whatever the reason, there are people out there looking for it and if I share with enough people hopefully I can find them.

So here I am, I am pumped and ready to do the work.  I hope you will follow me along on this journey.

Today I am going live to show how to cook corn on the cob in our Multi Purpose steamer and making sheet pan Chicken souvlaki for dinner ( my live videos are on facebook at cooking clean with Kym).  Friday afternoon I made sweet banana bread in 8 minutes in the microwave, I made two and hate to say that there is a half a loaf left on Sunday lol.  It was delicious.  I need to figure out if I can attach live videos to my blog...

Well I am off to meal prep for the week ahead.  I find if I spend 1/2 an hour today planning the week, it saves time and money.  I make my grocery list and can save myself by making one trip to the grocery store, cleaning and prepping my groceries for the week.   Stay tuned I will post my meal plan for the week and the grocery list, then I will post my schedule for what I am making this week.

Well I hope you have an amazing Sunday, it's raining here and I have a list of things to do but am taking ME time to capture my thoughts and meal prep for the week.
