Happy Halloween Oct 31, 2022

Happy Halloween, I hope you are having a fabulous day and have a safe and incredible evening.

As we finish up October and head into November, I don't know about you, but I am craving comfort food.  Soups and stews, chili and sheppard's pie all of those meals that warm your soul and make you think of warmth.  Epicure has incredible solutions for these meals, ready in 20 min or less and with minimal ingredients.  Allowing us to get dinner on the table quick and get the kiddo's out the door for after school activities, scouts, guides, hockey or any other activity.

Thanksgiving 2022 memorable


 Saturday Oct 222022

Welcome back friends, to say thanksgiving weekend turned out as planned, well not so much.

Got the turkey in the oven, pumpkin pie made, and in the fridge, turnip cut and soaking in a pot on the stove and tackled the potatoes.

Using our mandolin, with the guard and well a slip and off to the Emergency room.  Six stiches later in my thumb on my left hand and I am somewhat out of commission for 7 to 10 days.

Live and learn.  Well we are over 10 days and stitches are still in the thumb, I bandage and clean it every couple of days and to be honest it is getting easier to do things.

I tackled cooking a couple of times this week, bacon on the cooling racks and sheet pan in the oven, that was a first for me.  I also made our Sweet and spicy street tacos with our Enchilada and fajita seasoning, and I must say it turned out pretty good.

Roasting chickens are on sale at Loblaws this week for 1.99 a pound so I picked one up yesterday.  I am going to go live tonight and do a full chicken in the microwave, 25 min raw to ready, juicy and not dry at all.  I also received our sage and apple stuffing mix today, so I want to try a cornbread stuffing.  Stay tuned pictures will follow or tune in live tonight at 6 on my VIP page link attached.

CDN Thanksgiving Weekend

 Good morning, many of us are getting ready to face the crowds at the grocery stores and markets, prepping for the big day.  Turkey day.

I retrieved a large frozen bird from the freezer (I am sure it was from Christmas 2021), and he is thawing in the sink.  I will throw him in the fridge today and get pull him out Sunday night to get him decorated for his journey into a warm oven.

On the menu for Monday Oct 10th,

Roast Turkey

Savoury Herb Gravy

Pumpkin tarts and Apple crumble

Scalloped Potatoes 

Turnip and Carrots 

Roasted Brussel sprouts and Carrots.

You guessed it, I am using the best Turkey dinner collection seasonings and dinner will be a snap.  I also love that I can use the steamers in the microwave to save room in the oven for that big, beautiful bird.

Welcome to my BLOG



Well I have finally gotten here, I am about to launch my blog site, good bad or indifferent, I have made this and am excited to share.  I will continue to post on my VIP Page in Facebook and Instagram but I found a place where I can capture my true purpose of sharing.  I love doing live cooking demo's on Facebook and if you are a member of my Cooking Clean with Kym VIP group there you know this is fact.  With an audience of 1 or an audience of 101, it doesn't matter, I am at home in the kitchen and sharing our Epicure products.  I love how versatile and easy they are to use and I love that I can get dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes (most meals).  I love sharing options with you and I love seeing your creations and recipes.  This space is where you can get to know me better and I hope I can bring you some confidence in the kitchen that you have desired.

In this difficult time I found myself short at the end of the month and not always being able to put healthy meals on the table due to rising costs of everything, rent, gas, groceries ect.   So I figured why not get the products I love at a discount and boom I rejoined Epicure.  If you know me you will know that I was an Independent Epicure rep back in 2010 I think it was.  Life got in the way and I let it go.  I also stopped cooking healthy meals at home and started eating out alot more.  Well needless to say that wasn't the healthiest decision and my health suffered.  Diabetes meds, blood pressure meds and packed on the weight.  I have always struggled with weight issues, been a WW member for many many years and a repeat offender.  In 2021 during a world wide Pandemic my health was the worst it had been.  I was on Metformin, and the doctor was increasing my dosage, 2 blood pressure pills and a water pill and I was a whopping 351.8 pounds.  I ended up in Emergency one night not able to breathe and that is when a doctor said to me "you don't change your habits and lifestyle and you are going to end up in a box by the end of this year".  Wow...   So that led me back to healthy eating.  Epicure products are gluten free and sodium and sugar conscious and I had a cupboard full of products.  It is an easy, time savings, healthy way to eat and with working full time and being single I needed easy and time savings.

And here we are today a year later and I have lost over 100 pounds (not just by eating Epicure products, I also started IF but that is a whole other story)  I have not taken any Metformin in one year and happy to report my Blood glucose is in the normal range.  I have dropped to one blood pressure pill and no water pill and I feel amazing.  I still have a ways to go but I am a work in progress.

So that is me and how I came back to Epicure in a nut shell, well not really a nut shell lol.  I hope you will stick with me an follow my blog, I hope it will help you in some way to cook healthy, time savings meals and I hope you will help me share.  thanks for being a part of my journey๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“

 Good evening, I am so happy to share with you some of our new and returning products.  I can’t wait to share with you our new collections for the gift giving season.  With the economy the way it is, prices of gas and groceries on the rise, our dollars are stretched, and we are trying to find ways to make our incomes go that much further.
