Super Bowl Sunday 2023

Good morning friends, It is Sunday February 12th 2023 and that means Superbowl Sunday.  I have to be honest, I am not a football fan, I have never understood the game.  However to a foodie Super Bowl is about the half time entertainment and of course the food spread.

Appetizers and dips, sandwiches and mains and desserts.

It can be simple or elaborate, but you walk away from the best Super Bowl parties always talking about the game first and the food of course.  So last night I prepped for Super Bowl, pulled pork Epicure style, it has been in the slow cooker all night and will be ready to shred and serve with buns and coleslaw or with nacho's and best there will be left overs that I can freeze or send home with friends.  Next I prepped the hots dips,

our Epicure Nacho Buffalo Chicken cheese hot dip with our Nacho cheese dip mix, Creamy Ranch dip mix and Buffalo wing seasoning, a shredded chicken breast, a brick of cream cheese, mayo and of course cheese.  oh yum...

our Extra Ordinary Cheese dip with CCB, Lemon Dilly dip mix and three Onion, cream cheese, mayo and cheese.  smells divine

then a cold dip Epicure Kick dip, with our Nacho cheese dip mix, Creamy Ranch dip mix, Guacamole dip mix and our Poco Picante, mayo and sour cream.  caution the longer this dip sits the spicier it gets.  great with cold veggies or pretzels or nacho chips and naan dippers.

Can't forget a dessert, Berry Swirl Cheesecake bites, yes a simple 2 bite brownie crust with cheesecake filling and strawberry swirled in... Devine.

And that is our Superbowl spread.  With the exception of the Pork Butt cooking in the slow cooker, everything else was prepped and ready in under 1 hour.  Lots of time to clean the house, do the laundry and wait for friends to arrive.

Happy Superbowl Sunday friends... Enjoy the game, oh who am I kidding, enjoy the food.
